Myths of Computer Literacy

You will exist on a scale in all of your class rooms. Some of your students will not even own a home computer- and some will run circles around you.

The argument is similar to the one by linguists about what constitutes a bilingual. Do they have to be fluent in both languages? What if someone can speak their native tongue- but not read or write in it? We would certainly never say they can't speak Russian or whatever language it is. Same goes for computer users, how many skills does it take to be literate in computer literacy?
